Lily was my daughter, I was nearly 5 months pregnant when I had my first scan. During that scan, they told us that our precious baby would probably not survive birth or will die very soon after.
She had anencephaly, a neuro tube defect that results in the absence of a major portion of the brain, skull, and scalp that occurs during embryonic development. I had to give birth to my baby, she was fully developed. She had a perfect body, delicate hands and feet but her face and skull were not there, I never got to see her beautiful face.
